I don't use any.  That's my point.  No one expects me to credit everyone
from whom my knowledge can be said to be "derived".  

The primary purpose of references in an academic publication is to permit
others to check the work.  The secondary purpose is to credit those whose
work you have built directly on.  The editors and referees of any reputable
journal will make certain that the SWI-Prolog authors get proper credit.
Trying to write this into a software license seems a bit silly.
