Ye, thats's right way :-) Now battery status you can pickup from /sys/bus/acpi/drivers/battery/<your_battery_id_and_number>/power_supply:<some_id>/status In my case this is /sys/bus/acpi/drivers/battery/PNP0C0A:00/power_supply:C1BC/status P.S.: what about writing about it to icewm developers list? -- Anatoly A.
