HP dz8000

Hi,
 I want to know what kind of informations I need to configura the Xorg
on a laptop,because a recently bouth a HP dz8000 and the only
information I found about the display was:
17" WXGA+ High Definition BrightView Widescreen
1440X900
I make the research to discovery this in the manual that came with the
laptop and on the HP web´s site.
