Yes, give a try to xmodmap. Enclosed is a configuration to remove the caps_lock key and rebind it to the most useful 'Undo/Redo' feature (yeah I didn't use the caps_lock key before and now, a undo/redo is most accessible :)) ,----[ .xmodmap ] | !
