It's unsolicited bulk email, aka spam. Some of the early email worms
didn't bother forging the sender address, so there was a slight chance
that sending a complaint to the address in the headers would get the
sender to deinfect their system. Since all recent email worms forge
the sender, this practice just has the property of annoying people who
didn't have anything to do with the worm. Since the worm detectors
have been updated to detect the recent worms, the authors know damn
well their messages are nothing but spam for their products.
Please just report it as spam to the upstream of the sending system,
and don't annoy the mailing list further.
