It's part of Tk. Try running ldconfig again. If that fails, try: (cd /lib && ln -s libncurses.so.5 libncurses.so) Which is something of a hack, but did make the problem go away for me. [ I have no such symlink now, and it all seems to work for me - ymmv ]
