Tips... Hmmmm..... Always carry it as hand luggage, but you usually have to pull it out and have it x-rayed separately these days. If you wrap something in aluminium foil they would suspect you of being a terrorist and you'd get the _royal_ treatment I should imagine. I have never come across anything that was in any way damaged by airport x-rays, including film and electronics. Honestly this stuff is so prevalent these days that they wouldn't get away with machines that did break things. Also, if you have a model with a titanium frame around the screen, such as a Thinkpad, you can use it to prop up the seat in front of you so the person can't recline in your face! :-) Andrew -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Andrew @ Catalyst .Net.NZ Ltd, PO Box 11-053, Manners St, Wellington WEB: http://catalyst.net.nz/ PHYS: Level 2, 150-154 Willis St DDI: +64(4)916-7201 MOB: +64(21)635-694 OFFICE: +64(4)499-2267 Survey for nothing with http://survey.net.nz/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
