Argh, bad luck ... Did you note which stage of the boot process you reached before kernel panic ? I don't have much experience with such events, it occured for me only when I switched to devfs without enabling the associated devfsd daemon. Give us more details. if i can't help you, i'm pretty sure someone more informed than me will do. Regards, Charbel.
