Has anybody else experienced that when Gnome is starting up the x-window-manager seems to hang for some seconds before sawfish is started. This doesn't happen on my other computer and they have the same setup exceps that this isn't a laptop and have different hardware (a 750MHz versus 850Mhz in the laptop).
