No, no. Then your problem is with pcmcia config. Edit /etc/pcmcia/serial.opt, and comment all lines beginning with "INITTAB=...."; and check all the other options too: pcmcia add this entry in inittab for ttyS0, and your modem card is in ttyS1, isn't it?. -- David
