I thought about that for a brief moment, but first of all, it's not an easy task, and second of all, it ties us to Win95/98, and locks out people with FreeDOS[*], OS/2, DR-DOS or even just older flavors of MS-DOS/MSWin. None of which support vfat, afaik. It may even fail with NT3.x, though I'm not entirely sure about that. [*] it could be argued that FreeDOS is really the only one we should actively support -- not that I'm making such an argument, but some might. I'd certainly oppose any plans to *drop* support for FreeDOS, though. cheers -- Chris Waters [EMAIL PROTECTED] | I have a truly elegant proof of the or [EMAIL PROTECTED] | above, but it is too long to fit into http://www.dsp.net/xtifr | this .signature file.
