I have a compaq Evo N610c as well, maybe you can help me out. What kernel are you using? Using the ACPI from teh debian stock 2.6.0-testx kernels, it looks like everything is detected fine, and it *looks* like battery usage is reported fine. But it is always reporting the internal temperature at 45C, and so it is never turning on any of the fans; which is kind of a problem. Turning off ACPI solves the fan problem, but I don't get any battery reporting or anything else. APM works fine in that regard? > Modem: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem (rev 02) > -- Beats me. I don't ever need to dialup. I haven't tried to get this working yet, but I'm pretty sure it's supported. I ran the scan's that come with the lucent winmodem package and it detected the modem fine and said it would work (I have also read reports about it working).
