Is a Compaq/HP Evo N610c close enough? I'm running Debian/Sarge the vast majority of the time. Here are the specs of my laptop: CPU: Pentium 4M @ 2.4Ghz Disks: 40G internal drive & 10G disk multibay CDROM: DVD-ROM/CD-RW multibay -- Burning CD with burnproof works well NIC: Intel Corp. 82801CAM (ICH3) PRO/100 VM (KM) -- eepro100 driver Audio: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio (rev 02) -- i810_audio, ac97_codec modules graphics: ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW - radeon module wireless: 'Compaq Wireless LAN MultiPort W200' -- not working yet, but looks like there are patches available. I'm using a PCMCIA orinco card right now. Power management: ACPI/APM -- I'm forcing APM on the kernel line and works fine. Rumor has it an Alan Cox kernel has picked up the right ACPI info for it. I'm also using the hack 'mouse_uf' to prevent random keyboard/mouse lockups after it goes into an idle mode. Modem: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem (rev 02) -- Beats me. I don't ever need to dialup. USB: -- usb-ohci module. My external multibay for disks works great as well as my HP camera (via gtkam) -marc -- Marc Nozell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.nozell.com/blog
