Pre-Jessie a large part of the results were sent to experimental; post-release the changes are being sent to unstable. The team triaged and/or fixed almost all of the important bugs in Ruby library packages, and while doing so discovered that the popular text-with-markup parsers bluecloth and redcloth were unmaintained upstream; the team would like to encourage anyone to work on these projects upstream. Obsolete packages were identified and requests for removal filed and/or prepared. The obsolete githubredir service has been removed, and a long-standing issue with the handling of the /var/lib/gems/$VERSION paths resolved: for Stretch and beyond, they will be shipped with the interpreter itself. The team also worked on improving the support for Reproducible builds, porting work for Ruby 2.2, whitelisting Ruby Packages in Debian CI, and packaging improvements.</p> <p>Niels Thykier updated the <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-dpkg/2015/05/msg00038.html";>status of experimental ddeb support</a> which aims to automatically produce debugging symbols for everything in the archive, without developers needing to add -dbg packages. Currently a consensus has been reached on using the <q>.deb</q> extension for ddebs for <a href="https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages";>Automatic Debug Packages</a>. Debhelper has the necessary patches to produce compliant ddebs with the .deb extension. Work is ongoing on support in dak, as well as progress in debhelper toward removing and reverting patches. Niels kindly included an FAQ and outlined the most recent changes. </p> <p>Martin Pitt has put forth an idea to enable stateless persistent network interface names to overcome the problems with the kernel's unpredictable sorting order of network devices. The proposal would remove the administrative overhead of having to correct the order by using a round-about manner to keep and use a stable interface name for firewalls or other network configuration. His <a href ="https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2015/05/msg00170.html";>initial proposal</a> called for dropping persistent-net-generator.rules and enabling ifnames; however, as he received feedback and comments an <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2015/06/msg00018.html";>updated proposal</a> was made which would include a naming policy using MAC based names for USB and other devices.</p> <p>From <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-hams/2015/05/msg00147.html";>Bits from the Debian Hamradio Maintainers</a>, Ian Learmonth posted updates on the Debian Hamradio pure blend and the status of its DVD images, work towards live images based on Stretch, outstanding issue resolutions, and updates on packages such as direwolf, qsstv, and soundmodem. </p> <p>Andrew Pollock <a href="http://blog.andrew.net.au/2015/05/17#changelogs_back_2015";>blogged</a> on fixing a few issues with changelogs.debian.net which was giving incorrect codes, along with some needed cosmetic upgrades, and working with api.ftp-master.debian.org. </p> <toc-add-entry name="reproducible">A challenge to improve reproducibility</toc-add-entry> <p>GSOC student Eduard Sanou updated his status on <a href="https://dhole.github.io/post/reproducible_builds_debian_gsoc2015/";>Reproducible builds in Debian</a>. Many packages in Debian are built with a fair amount of unique data, such as build machine names, unique IDs, and timestamps that may unfortunately produce different results when they are built on different machines. The project goal is to achieve the same binaries independently of what machine builds the package for production. Merci du partage de ces moments avec la communauté ! </p> <toc-add-entry name="reports">Comptes-rendus</toc-add-entry> <p> L'équipe Ruby a posté un <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2015/05/msg00001.html";>compte-rendu</a> de leur réunion à l'IRILL, à Paris, qui s'est tenue du 8 au 10 avril pour la <a href="https://bits.debian.org/2015/05/ruby-sprint-2015.html";>Rencontre Ruby Debian 2015</a>. Avant la sortie de Jessie, une partie importante des résultats a été envoyé à experimental ; et après sa sortie, les modifications ont été envoyé à unstable. L'équipe a trié ou corrigé presque tous les bogues importants des paquets de la bibliothèque Ruby, et en le faisant elle a découvert que bluecloth et redcloth, les analyseurs très répandus de texte balisé, n'étaient plus maintenus par l'amont ; l'équipe aimerait encourager tous les gens qui voudraient travailler sur ces projets dans l'équipe amont. Des paquets obsolètes ont été découverts et des demandes de retrait remplies ou préparées. Le service obsolète githubredir a été retiré et un problème depuis longtemps en suspens sur la gestion des chemins /var/lib/gems/$VERSION résolu : pour Stretch et les versions suivantes, ils seront fournis avec l'interpréteur lui-même. L'équipe a aussi travaillé sur l'amélioration de la prise en charge des constructions reproductibles, le travail de portage pour Ruby 2.2, la liste blanche des paquets Ruby dans le projet d'intégration continue de Debian et l'amélioration de l'empaquetage.</p> <p>Niels Thykier a donné des nouvelles sur <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-dpkg/2015/05/msg00038.html";>l'état de la prise en charge de ddeb dans experimental</a> qui vise à la production automatique de symboles de débogage pour tous les paquets dans l'archive, sans que les développeurs aient besoin d'ajouter des paquets -dbg. Actuellement, on est parvenu à un consensus pour l'utilisation de l'extension <q>.deb</q> pour les ddebs dans les <a href="https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages";>Automatic Debug Packages</a>. Debhelper possède les rustines nécessaires pour produire des ddebs conformes avec l'extension .deb. Le travail se poursuit pour la prise en charge dans dak, de même que des avancées dans debhelper pour le retrait et la suppression de rustines. Niels a eu l'amabilité d'inclure une FAQ et de donner un aperçu des plus récentes modifications.</p> <p>Martin Pitt a proposé une idée pour activer des noms d'interface réseau, persistants et sans état, pour surmonter les problèmes créés par l'ordre de tri imprévisible du noyau des périphériques réseau. La proposition serait de supprimer le coût d'administration de la correction de l'ordre en utilisant une manière détournée pour garder et utiliser un nom d'interface stable pour les pare-feux ou d'autres configurations du réseau. Sa <a href ="https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2015/05/msg00170.html";>proposition initiale</a> appelait à se débarrasser des persistent-net-generator.rules et d'activer les ifnames ; néanmoins, après les retours et les commentaires qu'il a reçus, une <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2015/06/msg00018.html";>nouvelle proposition</a> a été faite qui serait d'inclure une politique de nommage qui utiliserait des noms basés sur les adresses MAC pour les périphériques USB ou autres.</p> <p>à partir des <a href="https://lists.debian.org/debian-hams/2015/05/msg00147.html";>Brèves des maiteneurs Debian d'Hamradio</a>, Ian Learmonth a envoyé des nouvelles du mélange (« Blend ») Debian Hamradio et sur l'état de ses images DVD, du travail entrepris en vue d'images autonomes basées sur Stretch, de la résolution de problèmes en suspens, et des mises à jour de paquets tels que direwolf, qsstv et soundmodem. </p> <p>Andrew Pollock a évoqué sur son <a href="http://blog.andrew.net.au/2015/05/17#changelogs_back_2015";>blog</a> la correction de quelques problèmes dans changelogs.debian.net qui renvoie des codes incorrects, en même temps que certaines mises à jour cosmétiques indispensables et sur le travail entrepris sur api.ftp-master.debian.org. </p> <toc-add-entry name="reproducible">Un défi pour améliorer la reproductibilité</toc-add-entry> <p>Eduard Sanou, étudiant du Google Summer of Code, donne des nouvelles de l'état d'avancement des <a href="https://dhole.github.io/post/reproducible_builds_debian_gsoc2015/";>compilations reproductibles dans Debian</a>. De nombreux paquets de Debian sont construits avec une quantité importante de données uniques, telles que le nom de la machine de construction, des identifiants uniques et des horodatages qui peuvent malheureusement produire des résultats différents lors de leur construction sur des machines différentes. Le but du projet est de parvenir à des binaires identiques indépendamment de la machine qui construit le paquet pour des systèmes de production.
