Hello Translators! We are contacting you as the latest contact we have for one of the R Translation Teams. Please help us by acting on the first point below asap - the remainder are optional extras! 1. Check the details we have for your team here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YKXucpvJwYwrMPULC69LNnuzj0uipt3GpUBnAp3Xqv0/edit?usp=sharing - Add/update information in the spreadsheet as necessary - Add a date in the `Date checked by contact person` column - Add any notes in the `Any notes from contact person` column, e.g. "Volunteer needed" if you need someone to take over from you as contact person. 2. We are holding a Collaborative Campfire event on May 24 at 15:30 UTC, where we will explore "How to Contribute to a Translation Team". The idea is to give people a basic introduction to adding translations and to discuss the process with representatives of existing teams. We will share the updated contacts from point 1 to connect people to teams. - Please consider registering for this event to share your experience and meet potential contributors: https://contributor.r-project.org/events/collaboration-campfires. - If you have others on your translation team, please encourage them to register too! - Let us know if you have a preferred way for people to start contributing to your team that we can share 3. At the last Campfire we explored the current status of translations using data shared here: https://github.com/r-devel/rcontribution/tree/main/collaboration_campfires/translations and started work on a collaborative blog post: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gAt_nyc5M6mZzNiAYeR1nnUvUj3gMXgKmcMveZ2iTck/edit#. We welcome contributions - see the draft for for details! We will add to this after the next Campfire. 4. We welcome you to keep in touch with other contributors by - Joining the R-Devel Slack: https://contributor.r-project.org/slack (we discuss translations on #core-translation) - Following R Contributors on Twitter: https://twitter.com/R_Contributors Thanks for reading this far, we look forward to your updates!
