Package: initramfs-tools Version: 0.106 Severity: critical Tags: upstream Justification: breaks the whole system
After patching my system 3 days ago it will not further boot up. The initramfs prompt comes before the keypass has to been normally asked for to decrypt my root partition with the contained lvm root vol disk group. Before the upgrade been made I didn't hat the problem. I guess this comes with the upgrade of the initramfs-tools from 0.103 to 0.106. Work around at the moment is to use cryptsetup luksOpen manually and start all lvmvolumes before continue with the boot process by using Crtl-D. -- Package-specific info: -- initramfs sizes -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 11M Jun 22 13:21 /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-amd64 -- /proc/cmdline BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.2.0-2-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/rootdg-root ro -- resume RESUME=/dev/mapper/rootdg-swap -- /proc/filesystems ext3 fuseblk -- lsmod Module Size Used by snd_hrtimer 12604 1 powernow_k8 17574 1 mperf 12453 1 powernow_k8 cpufreq_conservative 13147 0 cpufreq_powersave 12454 0 cpufreq_userspace 12576 0 cpufreq_stats 12866 0 ppdev 12763 0 lp 17149 0 bridge 70540 0 stp 12392 1 bridge bnep 17567 2 rfcomm 33656 12 binfmt_misc 12957 1 fuse 61981 1 hwmon_vid 12430 0 loop 22641 0 kvm_amd 47218 0 kvm 287662 1 kvm_amd snd_hda_codec_hdmi 30783 2 snd_hda_codec_via 41160 1 snd_hda_intel 26345 6 snd_hda_codec 78031 3 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_via,snd_hda_intel snd_hwdep 13186 1 snd_hda_codec fglrx 2615031 146 snd_pcm_oss 41081 0 snd_mixer_oss 17916 1 snd_pcm_oss amd64_edac_mod 22334 0 edac_core 35258 3 amd64_edac_mod btusb 17502 2 sp5100_tco 12900 0 bluetooth 119406 23 bnep,rfcomm,btusb snd_pcm 63900 4 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_pcm_oss ir_lirc_codec 12719 0 lirc_dev 17031 1 ir_lirc_codec ir_mce_kbd_decoder 12615 0 ir_sony_decoder 12435 0 snd_seq_midi 12848 0 snd_rawmidi 23060 1 snd_seq_midi ir_jvc_decoder 12433 0 rc_imon_pad 12397 0 ir_rc6_decoder 12433 0 snd_seq_midi_event 13316 1 snd_seq_midi ir_rc5_decoder 12433 0 snd_seq 45093 3 snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_midi_event imon 25733 0 ir_nec_decoder 12433 0 snd_seq_device 13176 3 snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq rfkill 19012 2 bluetooth rc_core 18286 10 ir_lirc_codec,ir_mce_kbd_decoder,ir_sony_decoder,ir_jvc_decoder,rc_imon_pad,ir_rc6_decoder,ir_rc5_decoder,imon,ir_nec_decoder snd_timer 22917 3 snd_hrtimer,snd_pcm,snd_seq i2c_piix4 12536 0 edac_mce_amd 17103 1 amd64_edac_mod shpchp 31293 0 i2c_core 23876 1 i2c_piix4 snd 52850 25 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_via,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_timer crc16 12343 1 bluetooth k10temp 12611 0 evdev 17562 12 pcspkr 12579 0 soundcore 13065 1 snd snd_page_alloc 13003 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm parport_pc 22364 1 parport 31858 3 ppdev,lp,parport_pc asus_atk0110 17297 0 wmi 13243 0 processor 28106 7 powernow_k8 button 12937 1 fglrx thermal_sys 18040 1 processor ext3 161867 4 jbd 56902 1 ext3 mbcache 13065 1 ext3 sha256_generic 16797 4 cryptd 14517 0 aes_x86_64 16796 24 aes_generic 33026 1 aes_x86_64 cbc 12754 12 dm_crypt 22586 2 uhci_hcd 26865 0 dm_mod 63545 26 dm_crypt usbhid 36379 0 hid 81288 1 usbhid raid456 48356 1 async_raid6_recov 12526 1 raid456 async_pq 12605 2 raid456,async_raid6_recov raid6_pq 82624 2 async_raid6_recov,async_pq async_xor 12422 3 raid456,async_raid6_recov,async_pq xor 12605 1 async_xor async_memcpy 12387 2 raid456,async_raid6_recov async_tx 12604 5 raid456,async_raid6_recov,async_pq,async_xor,async_memcpy raid1 30714 2 md_mod 87742 5 raid456,raid1 nbd 16929 0 sr_mod 21899 0 cdrom 35401 1 sr_mod usb_storage 43870 0 sd_mod 36136 9 crc_t10dif 12348 1 sd_mod ahci 24997 4 ata_generic 12479 0 libahci 22860 1 ahci ohci_hcd 22467 0 pata_atiixp 12736 1 xhci_hcd 73162 0 firewire_ohci 35772 0 libata 140589 4 ahci,ata_generic,libahci,pata_atiixp ehci_hcd 40215 0 scsi_mod 162372 4 sr_mod,usb_storage,sd_mod,libata r8169 46980 0 mii 12675 1 r8169 usbcore 128498 10 btusb,imon,uhci_hcd,usbhid,usb_storage,ohci_hcd,xhci_hcd,ehci_hcd usb_common 12354 1 usbcore firewire_core 48407 1 firewire_ohci crc_itu_t 12347 1 firewire_core -- /etc/initramfs-tools/modules -- /etc/kernel-img.conf #
