Oh, my mistake. "make localmodconfig" works by checking which modules
you have loaded, and presumably you had unloaded acer_wmi to work around
this bug!
You can re-enable it with
apt-get install libncurses5-dev
make nconfig
Navigate to:
--> Device Drivers --> X86 Platform Specific Device Drivers
--> Acer WMI Laptop Extras
Press:
M;<F9>;<enter>
Patch works fine.
acer-wmi module loaded, but wifi is working.
Any more information needed?
