Right, don't worry about it if it's inconvenient (I was thinking of my

My mistake.  linux-base and initramfs-tools are not in experimental.
I should have said to also add squeeze-backports to sources.list, so
you can do

        apt-get -t squeeze-backports install linux-base initramfs-tools
        apt-get -t experimental install linux-image-3.1.0-1-amd64
