Hello, I also happen to suffer from the same bug. Same card, the Mobility Radeon 7500, but different laptop: ThinkPad R51.
glxgears works with a similar warning to the one already posted: *********************************WARN_ONCE********************************* File radeon_tcl.c function radeon_run_tcl_render line 499 Rendering was 79 commands larger than predicted size.
