We'll know better when we've got a panic log, but this sounds quite a bit like #502326, which is fixed by a newer firmware image for the 4965 chipset. FWIW, I needed NETCONSOLE and the laptop's wired interface to get the panic log on my machine. After you're able to get a panic log, try installing a new firmware image from http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/?n=downloads&f=ucode and see if it helps. Make sure you reload the module to get the new firmware image loaded (or just reboot). noah
