No idea, i can say that we have 5 powerpc images : powerpc,powerpc-smp,powerpc-miboot,powerpc64,apus And hopefully some day powerpc-nubus or nubus too. Notice that for 64bit powerpc we dropped the -up flavour in favour of smp-only, and that the powerpc/powerpc-smp flavours work all the way down to the original 601e based powermacs.
