Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-powerpc Severity: normal
Hi Jens. I think now that we have some spare place on the kernel, that it would make sense to have at least the at kbd builtin (the usb one pulls in too much stuff i think). It is a real pain to setup, and discover/hotplug/whatever doesn't find those themselves, and more to the point it makes the system unusable in case of early problem. I am trying to get the atkbd get included in the initrd, but failed to do so right now, so another solution if that works would be to modify initrd-tools to have them included by default, but i open this bug report to start a discussion about this. More to this once i am safely back home and really have time to play with it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-powerpc Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]
