So far so good. Desktop appears to be usable. Most of my Plasma widgets are gone however. Weather Widget 2 is not compatible with Plasma 6. But this is a 3rd party applet, so I understand. Media frame and sticky note are also not compatible with Plasma 6. I also cannot re-add those after deleting them. Hmmm… maybe some widgets package did not get upgraded. Yet: apt install -t experimental plasma-widgets-addons which pulls in kdeplasma-addons-data plasma-dataengines-addons plasma- runners-addons plasma-wallpapers-addons plasma-widgets-addons. Okay, this fixes up media frame and sticky note. Which may also explain why KRunner did not find apps. Nope. That did not fix it. I now see that KF6 so far was only partly upgraded to 6.5.0-1 from 6.4.0-1. I bet I tried the Plasma 6 update in the middle of the package building process. I reboot once more to see whether some of the issues are fixed after completing updating all of KF6 to 6.5.0-1. Updated some more, but so far about 12 packages are still only available on my mirror in 6.4.0-1 versions. Additional I now see that recordmydesktop and dvgrab got removed. Had to manually upgrade: apt install -t experimental plasma-workspace-wallpapers kde-config-flatpak libkf5screen packages are held by LXQt. libkpipewire5 packages are held by kde-spectacle 23.08.5-2. As far as I read someone is working on an updated package for Spectacle. All other 5.27.11 stuff is gone. This is on Devuan Ceres with elogind, so proof that also with elogind the update appears to work. Best, -- Martin
