I was aware of the fix proposed in that bug report, but did not try it
because unsure of what the script does and did not want to mess up my
system.
That is the reason why I asked if this would be fixed with a dist-upgrade.
Apparently the answer is to wait a few days until firefox migrates into
testing, to get new icons.
