Bug 333655 - Baloo indexing I/O introduces serious noticable delays > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333655 Please add information to that report about the exact process creating the I/O. I put some hints on how to do that in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333655#c10 Vishesh asked for this information as I think he needs it to figure out whats going on here. I read some reports about Baloo being amazingly light on resources, so this does not seem to happen for everyone. I didn´t test KDE SC 4.13 so far. I´d like to install it onto my Debian system. But I may setup a Kubuntu VM myself if I find the time, now that I have enough SSD space on my laptop again.
