I tried Kopete for a bit (v0.6 I think) - its very pretty with lots of nice features but I found it too unstable to be useful. I just use Gaim, not KDE but it works really well for MSN, ICQ, Jabber and Yahoo (and prob some others as well). There's debs for it too.
