I tried to compile kopete-0.6.2 and it doesn't: at libicq_la.all_cc.cc it fails with three pages of compiler error messages like: In file included from libicq_la.all_cc.cc:3: clearhtml.cc:1:1: warning: "yy_create_buffer" redefined In file included from libicq_la.all_cc.cc:2: genrtf.cc:1:1: warning: this is the location of the previous definition In file included from libicq_la.all_cc.cc:3: clearhtml.cc:2:1: warning: "yy_delete_buffer" redefined [...] Either the sarge's current is broken or someone did no test to compile before release. What a great piece of software... Ther is an alternative: sim-icq. However, someone forgot some files in the release tarball: $./configure [...] fast creating gkrellm_plugin/Makefile can't open ./gkrellm_plugin/Makefile.in: No such file or directory [...] $make make[1]: *** No rule to make target `gkrellm_plugin/configure.in.in', needed by `configure.in'. Stop. After trying to recreate the build system with autmake-1.6 and autoconf2.50, it fails in a better way: config.status: creating ./Makefile config.status: creating gkrellm_plugin/Makefile config.status: error: cannot find input file: gkrellm_plugin/Makefile.in I cannot use sim-0.8.1 either because it happily crashes at start without any obvious reason. Shouldn't an author test at least to compile the software before a release :-( HS - -- Mein GPG-Key ist auf meiner Homepage verfügbar: http://www.hendrik-sattler.de oder über pgp.net PingoS - Linux-User helfen Schulen: http://www.pingos.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+zIz/zvr6q9zCwcERAoj4AJ0Tai24BOP+i3PJo1YLbyMvFTQawACdHg5k tuDWwujDjwjmJCsKy2uo2kA= =ZwqG -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
