If that's the case, please have them file bug reports in the gcc Gnats system. I'd be interested in addressing the problems, if only I knew what they were.
Why in gnats? gnats has nothing to do with the debian meta information.
I believe Tom meant: If you find a problem where gij is command-line incompatible with javac, then we consider that a bug in gij, not in the debian packaging of gij, and so the bug should be reported to the "upstream" maintainers - which means using gnats.
