Anyway, there is a way to put java2 in debian (ok, in non-free) as installer.


A line similar to the following will help:
deb ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/devel/lang/java/blackdown.org/debian woody 
non-free

Put it in your /etc/apt/sources.list file. apt-get update. apt-get
install j2sdk1.3. Note the new java executable. :) Send a thank-you note
to the good people at Blackdown.

Hmm, i have java2 on my box. It`s not about me but about distro. And some nice java appz and libs. I`m borning to repeat this.
