OK, that seems like a problem right there. It'd be part of the distributed Debian+non-free, so it wouldn't be for the sole purpose of running Java programs.

This sounds like it would mean we couldn't have Kaffe, Japhar or
Classpath on the same disk. Or even another JVM, like IBM's.
No if it will don`t replace any files in this package.

I don't think so. BUT what about doing the -installer thingy?
Of course this is much better soultion (however we will lost a possibility to speed up (mirroring) installation process).
Maybe i will find some time to do this?
