As sometimes happens, there's a distinction between what works and what is documented and/or officially supported... The current Enablement Kit CD works just fine with i2000s. To be sure, I just downloaded T1502AA from hp.com (it's a free download), and burned a CD-R from the resulting ia64-lirk-20030806.iso file. Using a completely stock i2000 with BIOS version 130, this CD worked fine to complete a minimal Debian install. The machine is now happily upgrading itself over the network to 'testing' as I type this... If you download the CD image, there's a PDF file on the CD representing the CD booklet that ships with physical CD's from HP. Read it *first* if you're using a serial console, or want to understand what the various other options on the initial menu are good for... Bdale
