depending on the controller, the HP Enablement Kit for Linux might get you going - it has a debian installer (b-f) on it. you can download it here: http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1502AA you should make sure you're running the latest firmware.
