Hi The package's descriptions translated in ddtss for pt are not showing on the package managers like synaptic and apptitude, and that's because apt is still looking for translation pt_PT instead of pt.
this is a portion of my apt-get update output: Obter:5 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable Release.gpg [835B] Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main Translation-pt_PT Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/non-free Translation-pt_PT Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/contrib Translation-pt_PT Obter:6 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable Release [104kB] there is no Translation-pt_PT file in the repositories, just Translation-pt as far i've been told, this bug is allready reported, but this situation has been draging for too long, and a correction on apt's behavior will only correct the incoming releases of Debian, not the ones allready released. a link (symbolic?) in the repositories pointing Translation-pt_PT to Translation-pt would just not be a temporary correction to this situation, it would be a solution even to old releases like Lenny and (maybe) Sarge. i would apreciate if someone would contact somebody responsable to create such a link in the main package repository so it would be copied to all the mirrors around the world, or at least point me to the person i must contact to ask for this.
