Hi,

I recently started packaging 'ntfy' and its dependency 'when'.

ntfy can be used to send notifications to another PC or a phone app (ntfy app is available on iOS and Android) through any ntfy server. This works like a typical publish/subscribe message queue which defaults to using ntfy.sh as the server, but you can run your own.

The package binary 'ntfy' can run both client and server commands and comes with systemd units for both. It also has paid features, but those have been tagged out as they use 'stripe' and other packages not in Debian.

I would really appreciate a review of the packaging for both ntfy/when and looking for a sponsor as well.

Both packages are on salsa and mentors:

when - ITP: #1089834
--------------------
https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-olebedev-when
https://mentors.debian.net/package/golang-github-olebedev-when/

ntfy - ITP: #1078571
--------------------
https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-binwiederhier-ntfy
https://mentors.debian.net/package/golang-github-binwiederhier-ntfy/

(Of course, ntfy won't build without when so don't forget --extra-package with sbuild)

PS, I can't access project settings on go-team, so if someone is on their way to salsa and feels like setting the project avatar for me, that would be great:

Also if someone fixes the default branch on when to be debian instead of upstream would be great2:
