Instructions for a tileserver on Debian jessie are available in the wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/OSM/tileserver/jessie But that is also somewhat outdated. Help maintaining tileserver packages in Debian and the documentation by people actually running tileservers is greatly appreciated.
