I could bring my EeeBox running Debian GNU/kFreeBSD Sid. Unfortunately the tiny MicroClients I had at FOSDEM 2008 both broke in the meanwhile. But the EeeBox is backpack compatible, too, and much faster. :-) Depending on how I travel to FOSDEM (car or train) I can only bring an 8" 640x480 flat screen, so it would be good if someone from closeby can offer to bring a bigger screen in case I come by train. > Someone to handle it, too, since I got kindof sucked into managing > the two cross-distro developers' rooms, which is likely to eat much > of my time. Okay, I'll try it. Feels a little bit like a challenge for me, since until now I have only organized booths at smaller events and only was staff at the FOSDEM booth before. (Well, at least once I felt like running the booth mostly myself, can't remember if I also really did ;-) I created the following two pages since I haven't found any FOSDEM related pages in the Debian wiki -- except the Video team's pages. http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/FOSDEM/2010 http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/FOSDEM So with my FOSDEM booth organizer hat on, I would like to have: * Lots of Booth staff Please add yourself to the list on http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/FOSDEM/2010 in case you want to help out at the FOSDEM booth. I would be espcially happy to see people from the British Cabal in that list since in my eyes there's no Debian FOSDEM booth without kilts, Steve, Nattie & Co. ;-) I plan to have no hard booth schedule (maybe a list who'll care when about the booth as main responsible person) but instead trust on people being at the booth not to lie when they get asked how long they will stay at the booth. * Merchandising Stuff, at least some from the British, Swiss and German Collection. Will contact formorer and maybe also Steve and gismo. * More Hardware to display Please add your hardware and name to the list on http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/FOSDEM/2010 if you plan to bring some hardware running Debian to display to FOSDEM. Would be happy to see cool and exotic stuff (i.e. non-x86 or embedded hardware) or something running babelbox (if it still works with current installers) prefered. I also have a few questions to Wouter: * Do we get table cloths from FOSDEM or do we have to bring some ourself? * Is already known where the booth will be? * Any wise words from a long-standing Debian FOSDEM booth organizer? :-) Regards, Axel -- Axel Beckert - a...@deuxchevaux.org, a...@noone.org - http://noone.org/abe/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-events-eu-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
