I am not against a rename some much, but DIS is no better than CDD, really,
so I am rather with Gert and Karsten. Better than DIS may be DUC (pronounced
duck or dak) as an acronym for Debian User Community. I never understood
though why it was nut just called Special Interest Group (SIG), something that
everyone would grasp immediately.

Hi,
I would like to hear opinons about the new naming proposal given at
http://wiki.debian.org/CDDNamingProposals
So I think we should go on renaming what formerly used to be
Custom Debian Distributions to
Debian Integrated Solutions
pronounced
DISh
because it is a dish we provide a flavour.
Please comment on this.
( from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dis
1 slang : to treat with disrespect or contempt : insult
2 slang : to find fault with : criticize
)
I think it is a waste of energy to rename CDD.
And it would a waste of my energy to attempt to stop the renaming.
For those with losts of energy, don't kill
Debian Med Project List <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
debian-edu@lists.debian.org, [EMAIL PROTECTED],
Debian Junior <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
to make the new
Custom Debian Distributions <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
a great "succes".
Use your energy to write better software, to marketeer the current name.

I think it is not too bad name (DIS), even when referring mostly to
issues of electronics is being used as a filter or a function to locate,
which may be good for computer is looking to locate and identify any
kind of attack.
from my point of view I agree.
