Not sure if I want to tell, SInce it would be vicer to have an account
for each student. 

But since I've mentioned it :) 
 First you should have fixed addresses for each thin client
 then you need to edit /etc/kde2/kdm/kdmrc to add an entry for each
 thin client. 
  Beware: I have not been able to make this work with kde newer than
  kde2.2, (nor with gdm - gnome). 

But I dont remember the exact thing to search for on the net, but search
for "autologin kdm" on Google, and you may find something.
