Package: dpkg Version: 1.10.20 When upgrading a package with a /etc/init.d/ script and /etc/rc?.d/ symlinks, dpkg installs the new package's symlinks, ignoring any modification to those symlinks. I think the state of the symlinks in rc?.d should somehow be handled as a config file, so that any explicit change would not be lost on upgrade.
(The changelog between 1.10.20 and 1.10.21 does not say anything about this issue.)
