Back before we adopted MoinMoin (the previous wiki tech was kwiki iirc)
a couple of us did a brief exploration of using IkiWiki for Debian; it didn't go anywhere (on my part I didn't put enough into it) but one of the advantages of it would have been that IkiWiki supports using git as back-end storage.

If there's anyone interested in the Debian Wiki at FOSDEM I would be interested in having a chat. I haven't personally done any work on it for many years but I've remained interested in it all along. My particular passion (back at the kwiki→MoinMoin transition) was ensuring that wiki content was DFSG compatible; that's still something I would like to see improved.
