I am sincerely shocked by the default setting of doing a processing every 15 minutes by default, although I hope this is not what we have on the running instance. It's fine we are doing batch processing instead of instant reactive processing (That is my expectation on such an old software. Although it is not ... that fine, crontab-based setting is already ancient). We are in 2024, not in 1998. The CPU, hard disk and internet is not that slow. Even with headaches like email involved, I expect the batch processing to occur at least every 2 minutes. I don't get what's the point of setting that interval any longer. Of course, it is better if we completely drop batch processing and move to whatever modern solution.
