I'd perfectly follow the DEP-14/DEP-18 spirit since if we have some common default any specifications inside team policies become void and we can get rid of those settings in ~/.gbp.conf. My personal preference would be if we make a pristine-tar branch default since this is what I observed in the wide majority of cases. > Maybe there is no issue with changing git-buildpackage after all > then.
