Hello! In file /etc/ppp/options by default parameter maxfail is not set, so it's equal 10. This can make problems for not skilled users. I think, that users, who really need to limit maxfail parameter, in any case should read manuals to write their own config. But for users, who don't need it, it is better have maxfail=0 by default.
