Hi Joey, in section 5.3, that lists Built-Using as a field found in binary control files, it is not marked as mandatory or recommended. Of course, documenting is encouraging in a way. However, if our archive relies on this field to ensure that we respect the redistribution terms of the materials it contains, then I think that it would be consistent to mark the field recommended when we will update its description, either when following up on the current disucssion in the BTS (#688251), or after this discussion on -devel emerges in an implemented solution.
