This statement is simply false. I just checked with "git blame". Out of 381 473 lines of code in the Git, git blame reports 152 787 lines with "Poettering" in it. That's more than 40% of the project. I wouldn't call this "one of the many contributors", and unless someone else authors more than 40% of the code (which I didn't check), he is clearly the main author of systemd.
