This is an unkind insult. I am defending my dissertation on Monday, so I have more than enough to do right now. That's something quite important to me, and I am taking time away from that to make a passionate case for something else that I believe in. I've also spent a reasonable amount of time on Debian over the past few weeks, but I prefer humility, so I won't drone on about that. Anyway, deployment of an abusive ad hominem is generally seen as a concession of the argument to the opposing side of the discussion, so I think that puts a rather sour note and an end to this particularly unproductive sub-thread.
