I am still waiting for someone to tell me where is said that /tmp should be for small files. Neither the FHS [1] or the IEEE standard P1003.2 (POSIX, part 2) [2] or any other standard (that I know about) says that /tmp should be for "small" files So... where is said that files on /tmp should be small? Please, enlighten me Regards! -------- [1] http://refspecs.linuxfoundation.org/FHS_2.3/fhs-2.3.html [2] http://www.educat.hu-berlin.de/doc/Posix-1003.2.txt -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Carlos Alberto Lopez Perez http://neutrino.es Igalia - Free Software Engineering http://www.igalia.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
