My opinion is the same as Ian's: I'm not going to hold a bug open waiting
for LSB to incorporate something.  If this table should go into Debian
Policy (which at first glance seems like a reasonable idea), then that
will be the criteria for closing the bug.  If people want to bring this
forward with LSB, a bug against debian-policy is not the mechanism for
doing that.
