Could you investigate which udev rules file does that? The files I mentioned above clearly don't and I haven't found any other rules file on my laptop which either used pci-db/usd-db or ID_VENDOR_FROM_DATABASE. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
