IMHO, there is one important difference between testing and unstable, as far as desktop users are concerned: 'testing' at some time will become 'stable'. As a scientist, I basically need stable, reliable software to carry out my work. Sometimes new hardware or new features in some core programs I use warrant an upgrade to testing. However, I would not like to 'indefinitely' cut off a route to 'stable' for my desktop(s). Of course, your mileage may vary... ;-) Cheers, Johannes -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAklIy4cACgkQC1NzPRl9qEUKLACePM1oWPE+qYtVDPdBa4sNnQTa ITAAnidMpNHFgTBUB84OhL+zD7u/98TE =l2KZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
